True to my New Year's resolutions (though a little late, I admit), I have created posting schedules for my blogs. I decided to do this for a few reasons: a) it makes me post everyday, b) it keeps me organized and c) it's a great inspirational tool. Being able to flip open a file on my desktop and check out today's predetermined topic is a lot more effective than staring at a blank screen.
From Ink to Ether's weekly calendar will go like this:
Marketing Monday for tips on marketing yourself and your work
Techie Tuesday for the technical side of writing for the internet, like writing style, blogging and alternate ways of making money online through SEO
Pennywise Wednesday will be posts on how to stretch your dollar during dry times, payment issues, getting the most money out of your pieces
Homestead Thursday is all about working from home
Freakout Friday will be anything goes. Who knows?
Weekend Break is when I will share links to what I'm reading online, and generally give you a break from your regular hard work
I hope you enjoy these topics, and feel free to share your thoughts.

I've thought about developing a posting schedule, and someday maybe I'll do one, but for now it just feels too constraining.
I like the free-form style of blogging. Feels less like work that way.
Thanks for offering the flip-side to having a posting schedule, dcr.
I used to freestyle it, but now that I have more on my plate I'm getting into time efficiency. I'm also someone who needs all her cards out on the table, so I feel less muddled this way.
Wow, I'm impressed by your self-discipline! I try to post a Q & A each Wednesday (generally my highest traffic day), which gives my blog a bit of structure.
I don't think I'd want to commit to a more regimented schedule than that, but I will definitely check back for more of your daily tips!
Thanks Susan! Yeah, I might be a bit of a control freak when it comes down to it.
What prompted me to make a posting schedule was my growing collection of blogs--that, and my new year's resolution to post regularly! Hmmm, I feel a blog topic coming on...
